For those not on Facebook, this was posted about Dave Moconi...let's keep him in our thoughts and prayers
UPDATE on Dave Mosconi (Thank You Beth):
Hi All,
Hope you had a good weekend.
Great news about Dave, he has moved to the rehab facility. His new address is
David Mosconi
Dodd Hall Rehabilitation Services
4th floor, Room 4114 B
480 Medical Center Dr.
Columbus, OH 45210-1245
I did go to Columbus on Friday to visit him. He looked himself just tired and thinner. He does not have much energy but I am sure that will improve every day. He is scheduled for 3 hours of Therapy a day, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. He was in his wheelchair, he had just gotten it on Thursday and was moving around in it pretty good. They bring his breakfast to him but he has to go to the cafeteria on the second floor each day for lunch and dinner. He cannot stand by himself, they want to wait at least 6 weeks for his surgery to heal but he said in the walker he can go about 150 feet.
He should be at Dodd for 2-3 weeks and then he is going to go to another facility in Columbus until his sister is back in Dayton. Probably the middle of June or so.
Really good news and I was glad I got to see him myself. It made me feel a little better. I only stayed about 30-45 minutes. He had had some therapy in the morning, I went down to the cafeteria with him but he was going to eat and had to get back to his room for more therapy.
So if you are able please keep sending cards. He does not get many visitors so I think it does help him feel not so alone.
Thanks
Beth Fink
